The creator of the concept ‘Universal PRO League’ decided on the name because
he wanted to create a new foundation for the evolution of both Rugby Union
& Rugby League. Both games have had
their development stifled & retarded by the archaic vision of old & out
of date thinking by past & present administrations. This concept is
designed to take both Union & League to the next level by maintaining the basic
fundamentals of both codes, (running with the ball, passing, kicking, tackling
& scoring) & has removed all of the unnecessary (line-outs, scrums,
mauls, rolling rucks, points being scored by penalties, excessive hit-ups,
excessive dummy half runs, trys scored by not actually grounding the ball etc,
etc, etc).
In particular the word UNIVERSAL
was specific in the naming because this sport is for the Universal athlete, Universal
codes combined, a Universal approach to the design of the concept for all
across the globe. In 2011 if a rule change for Rugby League is considered there
is a 99% chance that the suggestion has come from within Australia undoubtedly the
strongest Nation in the code of Rugby League. Since 1998 the coaches at the
highest level have been given control of rule changes & there lies the problem,
these decision makers are not taking the best interest of the code
internationally or for social & junior development because they are only
looking out for themselves. These are
the same people that have been pushing the limits to the nth degree for the
past 2 decades in order to gain some edge over the opponent. They brought us
all the illegal tactics at the play the ball & they have awarded hundreds
of trys that should never been allowed.
They pushed the illegalities so far that they thought they needed a 2nd
referee on the field to police the tactics during a tackle & play the ball
break down.

Universal PRO League, designed for Less players, more space for the running, passing & kicking into open spaces & trying to regather kicks to the spaces. That is what the Universal PRO League rules are designed to do, to bring all the positive aspects of 7’s Rugby, Rugby Union & Rugby League together in a new platform for the best athletes of all the Rugby Codes to move up to.
